Russia launched, three more GLONASS navigation satellites yesterday. The launch was successfully done from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan using Russia's Proton-M carrier rocket at 4:53 Moscow time (0:53 GMT), according to Interfax reports, citing a Russian Space Forces spokesman. Placed into orbit, these new satellites will begin operations in October according to Nikolai Testoyedov, the head of the company that develops the GLONASS equipment.
